“ really nice restaurant. i came in to try their seafood catch and got some crab since it's crab season. i got the crab salad which was really nice and came with loads of crab meat and unlimited chips. crab meat was really nice and soft and chips were cooked well. staff were also really nice and polite and food was quick. i like how they write what they have on the table with prices and what each is served with. i'd love to come back another time when they have some other fish to try. ”
“ What a place for food. Menu is extensive, and helpful waitress ran through the specials in detail. All the food was fresh tasting and very tasty. Wine was reasonable on price but good on taste. Friendly family atmosphere, and there was no pressure to leave, welcomed as I had to be rolled out from over eating ”

“ Ate here alone when working away in Plymouth with work. Nice view of the harbour from most of the restaurant. Very friendly staff who will happily run through to catches of the day and how they are cooked and give you prices at the table. The fish was excellently cooked and presented and they popped over every now and then to see if you wanted a top up on the unlimited chips. Overall a throughly enjoyable meal and will be visiting again when work sends me back in 6 months. ”
“ We are frequent visitors to Rockfish but this was our first time here at Plymouth. It was my Birthday treat and we went for the Madras mussels (this is the height of the 6 week prime mussel season) and the tinned Mackeral. Both were sublimely delicious, the mussels we plump, juicy and sweet, don’t think tinned fish here is like tinned supermarket fish, it is hand fileted and hand packed and is devine. We will be trying the sardines and tuna too at some point. I usually go for battered fish as they do it gluten and dairy free which is rare. This time tho I fancied the day fish whole grilled John Dory which was in the sea yesterday, you won’t find fish fresher unless you catch it yourself. My wife had the battered Hake which is always great. Try something different too, you won’t regret it. ”
“ Amazing seafood experience at Rockfish! We had the sardines — fresh, perfectly grilled, and full of flavor. The unlimited chips were a fun bonus, and the tartar sauce is a must-try! For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was rich and comforting. We also had a glass of their white wine (I believe it’s their own label) and it was absolutely lovely. Great service and a relaxed seaside vibe. Can’t wait to come back ”

We went for the fish of the day, which was John Dory, and it was cooked to perfection: delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of the best parts? Unlimited French fries, crisp and golden, which perfectly complemented the fish. The setting near the port adds to the charm, making it a great spot for a casual yet quality meal. ”
“ Great seafood, fresh and tastes delicious. We had the half pint of Norwegian prawns which were cold sweet and succulent. Alongside the gorgeous calamari which was also beautiful. Fish was cooked to perfection and perfectly filling. Chips are also unlimited if wanted with some meals! Also I love the ethos behind the source of the fish with the MSC. Love that the menu also marks fish thats served from the southwest. Bonus points for the dipping pots being eco- friendly too - you can tell sustainability is important here. This place is definitely more expensive than some others but you can tell with the quality of the food and the cooking. Staff were really friendly and loved to chat. We loved all of our food and will be back again! Thanks ”
